We have been receiving updates from SFDPH regarding their recommendations for the event, including precautions for the health of all attendees.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\">While at the time of this notice, there are still zero confirmed cases in San Francisco, after careful consideration, today the Department of Public Health recommended that we reschedule the event as a preventative measure due to the large number of attendees that come to a PHC event to volunteer, provide services, and receive services.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\">Project Homeless Connect relies on the advice of healthcare experts to make these difficult decisions. We appreciate DPH for their thoughtful consideration and will be following their recommendation to reschedule the March 4th Community Day of Service event. We are grateful to the te<\/span><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"none\">am at the Department of Public Health for their thoughtful consideration and prompt communications\u00a0around community health and safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Project Homeless Connect will continue to host our Drop-in Services. To access additional services throughout San Francisco, please visit our <a href=\"http:\/\/projecthomelessconnect.org\/staging\/2020\/03\/where-to-access-services-in-san-francisco-in-march\/\">Available Services in March Guide<\/a> which we will update regularly. We will be updating service information regarding where to access services in the next few days, as well as helpful information from SFDPH on accessing healthcare. To continue offering support, PHC will be providing information &amp; hygiene kits at the venue location and conducting outreach information of available services in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfdph.org\/dph\/alerts\/coronavirus.asp\">Department of Public Health<\/a> has shared a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/projecthomelessconnect.org\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/DPH-Press-Release-March-3-2020.pdf\">DPH Press Release March 3, 2020 HERE<\/a> regarding their recommendation and helpful tools regarding how to access continued health services. Additionally, you may read <a href=\"http:\/\/projecthomelessconnect.org\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Mayor-Breed-Press-Release-for-City-of-San-Francisco.pdf\">Mayor Breed Press Release for City of San Francisco<\/a> regarding the city\u2019s response and emergency plan. <\/span><\/p>\n<p xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\">Over the course of the next few days, we will be in communication with the providers, participants, and volunteers that planned to attend the event. We will be conducting community outreach to participants on how people may receive services through other resources. We will also be working with community partners, providers, and the Homeless Outreach Team to notify participants.
