Three years ago I began my role with Project Homeless Connect, honored to join a dedicated team that works hard every day to support people in need with connections to resources and services throughout San Francisco.<\/p>\n

The goal of Project Homeless Connect is to help people at risk of losing their homes or experiencing homelessness to more easily access services such as employment programs, mental health or substance abuse treatment, vision and dental care, medical care, housing support, and other basic needs. Accessing services can be a complicated and time consuming process; PHC helps to make the process more efficient and effective for thousands of people every year. \u00a0If through this work we have helped just one person keep their home or end homelessness, it is time well spent \u2013 that we have helped thousands, it is even more profound.<\/p>\n

My family and I have made the difficult decision that we will be moving out of San Francisco this year to be closer to our families, and therefore I am sad to share that I will also be leaving my position as Chief Executive Officer of Project Homeless Connect. While the decision to move has not been an easy one, I leave with full confidence that the team and volunteers at Project Homeless Connect will continue to\u00a0make a great impact for the community.<\/p>\n

In October, I shared my plan to leave with the PHC team and Advisory Board to allow time for a succession plan. The PHC Advisory Board has formed a hiring committee, shared the\u00a0job online<\/a>, and are in the final stages of interviewing to find the best possible candidates for the position. My last day as CEO will be after April, following the Community Day of Service..<\/p>\n

There is still so much work needed to be done in San Francisco. I have met with many members of the community that are eager to start supporting the work still needed to be done and many of you continuing the work you are already doing to support our neighbors in need, for this I am grateful to all of you. I have been incredibly fortunate to experience the level of Compassion that exists amongst San Franciscans first-hand at PHC.<\/p>\n

For the last three years, it has been my greatest honor to serve as the Chief Executive Officer of Project Homeless Connect alongside a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and partners. I hope to continue supporting our communities in my next endeavor and in the future.<\/p>\n
