Some of the achievements we are most proud of include:<\/p>\n<p>o<strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Development of Hearing Services\u00a0<\/strong>to go within our \u201cCore Senses\u201d Program. Now, in addition to Vision Care and Dental Care, PHC also offers hearing screenings and follow up care through a partnership with the Hearing and Speech Center.<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Improved methods of evaluating our services<\/strong>\u00a0over the last few years has helped us to better understand the impact of our programs, to highlight what is working well, and to make changes when necessary to improve our long-term impact.<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Bringing Mobile Services to new neighborhoods<\/strong>, including the Richmond and Sunset Districts through our &#8220;CareVan&#8221; so that we are better able to reach people where they are at.<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Developing a \u201cCompassion Training\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0presentation for schools, companies, and community groups to better understand the issues surrounding homelessness. We have provided compassion trainings to BiRite Market, UCSF, and the Richmond Neighborhood Community Center to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0We moved into a new location<\/strong>, 1031 Franklin Street, a huge endeavor that included a year of searching for a new space, months of outreach to Participants and the community, and setting up an entirely new office structure \u2013 all without pausing access to our services!<\/p>\n<p>In the last fiscal year, PHC provided services for 9,697 people in need.\u00a0When a Participant comes to us, it is with the trust that we will work hard to find solutions to the barriers that they face, because that is the\u00a0<em><strong>Mission of Project Homeless Connect \u2013 to connect people to services and resources that would otherwise be difficult to access.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div>Of course, as we all see walking around San Francisco every day, our work is no where near done and our services are still greatly needed by many. We will continue to work diligently to serve our neighbors without homes, or at risk of losing their homes, by connecting them to resources and referrals on a weekly basis.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1.6rem;\">We are proud to share our <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1.6rem;\" href=\"http:\/\/projecthomelessconnect.org\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/PHCAnnualReport-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Annual Impact Report<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 1.6rem;\">\u00a0from fiscal year 2018\/19.
