5 Things You Can Do Right Now To Support Your Unhoused Neighbors

October 15, 2020

While COVID19 has limited many of the in person systems of support for volunteers, there are still many ways to have an impact in our community!
Here are just a few of the ways you can support Project Homeless Connect…

With the current pandemic disproportionately affecting people experiencing homelessness and people who are economically vulnerable, Project Homeless Connect is proud to partner with Hayes Valley Bakeworks to bring a new lunch program to our Drop-In Program. Hayes Valley Bakeworks hosts an employment training program, in addition to being the generous host site of the annual “Muffin Man” campaign to feed our neighbors! [Read More about our collaborative work in our last post…]
Help us reach our goal of providing 50 meals this week!
You can help support this initiative and support our neighbors experiencing homelessness, PHC, and Hayes Valley Bakeworks by clicking the link below to sponsor a lunch for our Participants.

In order support the success of this meal program, we are asking for your help!  With the current goal of offering 50 meals a week, Hayes Valley Bakeworks has established an online store for people to purchase a meal for someone in need.

Lead the charge to gather supplies in support of San Francisco!
Reconnect to your community groups, your family, friends, and colleagues to collect PPE and cleaning supplies for a great cause. Donations submitted to This form will be distributed to Providers and people experiencing homelessness throughout San Francisco. When one person is more safe, we are all more safe!

Help spread the work Project Homeless Connect is doing in the community by following @PHCSF on Instagram and Facebook and sharing our posts with your networks!

Participants often come to us because they struggle to meet some of their essential needs. We are very low on two of our most-requested items: Backpacks and phone chargers!
Project Homeless Connect collects and distributes items that our Participants cannot easily access. Backpacks help Participants carry their belongings a little more easily, and phone chargers keep them connected to support networks including family, friends, case workers, and even PHC!
Email us at info@projecthomelessconnect.org to learn more about how/when to drop off donations!

A Greater Impact Made Through Giving –
Become a Monthly or Quarterly donor!

Recurring donations provide our programs with security and sustainability, especially during unstable and often unpredictable times. Many Participants who come to Project Homeless Connect are already facing a crisis when they reach out us; the risks associated with COVID-19 exacerbate existing challenges and make it that much more important that we continue to provide services. It is through your contribution and compassion that we are able to continue providing services and supporting people in need!

Already a monthly donor, but haven’t transferred to our new Donation Platform? Make sure to do so before the end of this month to ensure that your contributions continue!
