The recommendations put forth by the CDC and SFDPH to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are to wash hands thoroughly, stay home especially if feeling sick, and limit close contact with other people. For many of our neighbors without access to running water or a home to quarantine in, these measures are nearly impossible.
We are determined to continue supporting our neighbors experiencing homelessness and to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus – But we need your help! Please consider any of the following ways to support PHC and our community. At times like these, it takes us all!
VIRTUAL VOLUNTEERING
Maintaining social distance is challenging for nonprofits working to serve the community. While social distancing is an important measure for prevention, we are struggling with the steep reduction in volunteerism, as we rely heavily on volunteers to perform essential services for the community.
If you are interested in hosting a Hygiene Bank Activity, a hygiene drive, or creating Hygiene Kits, you can learn more about the process and support your community by visiting our partners Volunteer Activities at Simply the Basics.
